Volleyball
Welcome to the 2008 Volleyball Season. We are again playing in the Girls Classic League. The season will begin the second week of February and conclude the 2nd or 3rd week of April. Based on preliminary numbers it looks like we will have 1 JV teams (5th - 6th grade) and 2 Varsity teams. If you are interested in playing, look for a coach's letter regarding Practices in the next few days. Each team will probably play between 16-20 games plus playoffs.
The fee this year will be $60 payable to the St. Barbara Athletic Office and is due no later than January 26th. In addition, a $15 fee is added if you do not have a uniform top from a previous year that you are going to wear. Therefore, if you need a uniform top the total fee is $75.
The players will be wearing white shirts with navy blue shorts. You are free to wear a shirt from a previous year if you are a returning player and it is good shape. Otherwise, we will be ordering shirts. We will need the size you need (shirts will be women's sizes), the number you would like and whether you would like the shirt to be long sleeve or short. The girls can wear their own navy blue shorts or the navy blue gym shorts from school, If they choose to wear their own shorts, they must be plain, with no writing on them (especially on the back side). If anyone comes to play in shorts that have writing on them (other than their gym shorts) they will be asked to change or sit-out.
Players are not allowed to wear earrings, jewelry or hair clips during the game
