ST. BARBARA SCHOOL
THURSDAY TIDBIT
GOD’S WORDS GUIDE US January 12, 2006
PRINCIPAL NOTES: A giant THANK YOU and CONGRATULATIONS goes out to the students and Mr. Manlan for the enjoyable Christmas Pageant! The children looked beautiful and sounded like little angels. Our sincerest thanks also to Mr. Enns and to our band members who did a wonderful job! Everything came together perfectly!
Thanks so very much to all of you for your kind thoughts, prayers, wishes and generous gifts to all of us during the holiday season! A special thanks for sharing your most precious gift of all with us…your children! We wish you all a blessed New Year!
If you have not already done so, please be sure to return your response to the survey for enrollment in the 2006-07 school year.
Enclosed in today’s tidbit is a most beautiful letter from Katy, Texas expressing their thanks for our help to those who were affected by Hurricane Katrina. Along with the letter was an entire booklet from the Parish which housed the survivors. The booklet is in my office if anyone wishes to view it.
I, along with the faculty and staff, would like to thank FSA for the Stickees that were given to each of us to decorate our classrooms and offices! Your thoughtfulness is greatly appreciated.
St. Barbara's Office of Pastoral Care would like to extend to each of our thoughtful and caring families their heartfelt gratitude for all the various signs of caring shown to families in need in our area and surrounding areas of Brookfield. You helped to bring much joy to the lives of others.
It has been brought to my attention that some parents are speeding in the parking lot in the mornings after dropping off their children. I ask that we all drive with caution and consideration for the safety of our school families.
Parents, please be sure to put your child’s name or initials on the tags of their uniform, coats, hats, etc. We have numerous articles of clothing in our lost and found which could be returned to the owner if only the names were on the tags.
I’m pleased to announce that St. Barbara School has received a check for $538.80 from Box Tops for Education for box tops brought in so far this year. Thank you to Mrs. Pat Medina for all of her hard work in running our fun contests in order to benefit the school! Look in today’s tidbit for details on our new contest.
Friday is out-of-uniform dress down day to celebrate the Chicago Bears’ successful season. Wear your Bears clothing or dress in blue / orange colors. Please dress appropriately.
