ST. BARBARA SCHOOL
THURSDAY TIDBIT

God’s Words Guide Us                                  February 9, 2006

PRINCIPAL NOTES: Last week each student received a letter from Mrs. Lujano, our computer teacher, regarding her website and the grade level ID numbers. If you did not see it, please call the school office or send in a note, and we will send you another copy.

More and more we are hearing in the news about MySpace.com and other websites where children are putting pictures on and writing personal information about themselves in their profile. I ask that you please talk with your children again and explain to them the danger that exists with putting personal information/pictures on these websites. Children do not understand that things they write today and in the future during their high school and college years, can not only affect them today but can come back to haunt them in their adult lives. Enclosed in today’s tidbit is a “family contract” for online safety. This does NOT have to be returned to school. It is merely a tool for you and your child to use to help with your discussion.

Many thanks again to our many volunteers who devote so much of their time and talent to help make St. Barbara School a great place to be a part of.

I want to send a great big THANK YOU to the FSA for providing us with the Wendy’s lunch and the Rope Warrior on Kid’s Day during Catholic Schools Week. The students were well entertained!

We will be out of uniform on Valentine’s Day, Tuesday, February 14th. The colors for the day will be red, pink, and white. Please watch what your children are wearing to school. Students must be dressed appropriately.
