God’s Words Guide Us                        February 23, 2006

PRINCIPAL NOTES:    Please be sure to read the enclosed flier regarding the Parish Life + Ministry weekend.   We hope to see all of our families at the 9:30 Family Mass.  Plan on stopping in at the Parish Center to visit the tables that will be set up with information regarding the many ministries we have here at St. Barb’s.  It would be nice to see more of our school families also involved in parish life!  Good luck in winning the many prizes they are handing out to the winners of the Ministry Bingo located on the back side of the flier.

Plan on joining the St. Barbara Parish community for the Stations of the Cross each Friday during Lent at 7:00 p.m. in the Church.

FAMILY MASS: As part of the Parish Life + Ministry Fair, Feb. 25th-26th, all families are invited to a special Family Mass at 9:30 a.m. Sunday. Please, make an effort to join us and come and learn about more than 30 parish organizations and ministries, including other community groups at the fair held in the Parish Center.

SCHOOL BOARD NEWS:  Thank you to all the families who filled out a carnival survey.  After careful consideration of the risks involved with this undertaking, it has been determined that the carnival is not a viable option for our school.  Therefore, it is with regret that I inform you that a carnival will not be taking place.

MANNA NEWS:  Effective immediately, gift cards for Loews Theaters are no longer available.  AMC Silver gift cards will be accepted at all AMC, Loews, Cineplex Odeon, Magic Johnson and Star theaters.  Manna should have these available within 2 weeks.
