Please bring your child to church each Sunday. It's a great way to start off the week!

OUT-OF-UNIFORM: CALLING ALL CHICAGO BEARS FANS….The 8th grade class is sponsoring a Chicago Bears Day on Tuesday, November 21st. With a minimum donation of 50 cents, the students may wear Chicago Bear clothing or blue and orange. All proceeds will help Sister Margaret’s Adopt-A-Family Program. Help a needy family by showing your Chicago pride. Go BEARS!

CLASS PICTURE RETAKES: Retakes for class pictures will be on Friday, December 1st. ALL students that did not have their picture taken in October will need to have it taken at that time. Your child will need to have their order form (extras are available in the school office) and payment with them when their picture is being taken in order for Lifetouch to print a package. Otherwise, your child's picture will be taken only for use in the classroom picture. If you wish to have retakes, your child MUST have their portrait package with them. ONLY those students having their picture taken will be allowed out-of-uniform in dress clothes on retake day. Any PS3 students needing retakes or pictures should be in the Windemere Room by 8:30 am. If you have any questions, please call Dawn at 485-6645.

FANNIE MAY SALE: All orders are due Monday, October 20th. In order to meet the deadlines set by Fannie May, late orders WILL NOT be accepted. Pick-up will be Thursday, December 14th and Friday, December 15th, 8:30 - 8:45 and 2:30 - 2:45. If you have any questions, please call Dawn at 485-6645.

MANNA CERTIFICATE PROGRAM: Please remember that orders WILL NOT be taken next week. Also, due to the high volume of orders during the holiday season, Manna has informed me that any orders placed the week of November 27th thru the week of December 11th will have a one day delay in delivery, so orders will not be available until Friday mornings rather than Thursday mornings. Please see the enclosed flyer for recent changes made to the program.
If you have any questions, please call Dawn at 485-6645.

CRAFT SHOW & BAKE SALE: The Council of Catholic Women of St. Barbara's is sponsoring Pumpkins 'n Holly Craft Show and Bake Sale on Saturday, November 18th in the Parish Center, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Admission is free, children are welcome, lunch will be available, and the event is handicap accessible. Bring a friend and stay for lunch.

PIZZA PARTY WINNERS: There was a tie for the most pies sold for Sr. Margaret’s Thanksgiving Pies. Congratulations to our 2nd grade and 4th grade, each selling 32 pies! Thanks to all who supported this generous gesture.

BOX TOPS/CAMPBELL & TYSON LABELS/MILK CAPS UPDATE…After the first collection last week, the 1st grade is leading in the “Save Your Turkey from Thanksgiving Dinner” contest with a total collection of 127 items. The final collection of items will be on Tuesday, Nov. 21st. A new contest will start when we come back from Thanksgiving break. Make sure to look at the BOX TOPS BUGLE flier in today’s tidbit. It explains the 30-Day Giveaway that only Box Top Booster Club members can enter daily to win 1,000 Bonus Box Tops for the school and a holiday gift basket from Ziploc and Saran for themselves. Not members yet, please go to www.boxtops4education.com/club and sign up today. We can earn a $1.40 for each new member that joins. There is a turkey collection sheet on the back of the Bugle flier. Also remember that Campbell’s has changed their program this year and will no longer be accepting the front panel of the label after 12/31/06. PLEASE send in the ENTIRE LABEL and we’ll take care of the cutting for you. Thanks again for your support of these programs.

FSA COOKBOOKS: Do you have any favorite recipes that you'd like to share with others? If so, send them in so they can be included in the FSA Cookbook. Submission forms are available in the school office or you may type or write your recipes and send them in. The more recipes we receive, the better the book will be! Also, don't forget to pre-order your cookbooks (no payment is due at this time). They will be available early May. If you have any questions, please call Dawn at 485-6645 or Debbie at 387-7367.

AVON FUNDRAISER: Thank you to all who participated in this fundraiser. The money earned along with FSA’s help will provide the school with a Rug Doctor carpet cleaner.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!
