PRINCIPAL NOTES: Beginning on Monday and for the rest of the week, the Archdiocese of Chicago and the State of Illinois will be evaluating our school. Because of this, we will not be having a Thursday Tidbit next week, March 15th.
Remember that there is no school on Friday, March 16th.
THE STUDENT COUNCIL wants to wish you a Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Come and celebrate with us and buy some festive holiday treasures. You will be able to purchase St. Patrick’s Day souvenirs on Thursday, March 15th, in the Windemere Room. Student Council members will be selling at both lunch periods. See the attached flyer for a list of all that we are selling. Thanks for supporting the Student Council!

HOME RUN INN PIZZA DAY: March 15th will be Home Run Inn Pizza Day. Order forms were sent home last Friday and are due back in the office on March 12th. Please note that any late orders will be returned and no extras will be ordered. If you do not order for your child, please remember to send him or her with a lunch from home. Hot lunch and milk will not be available on this date. Call Nancy Brown with any questions, 387-7334.
GIRL SCOUT SUNDAY: This Sunday, March 11th is Girl Scout Sunday. All scouts and their families are invited to attend 9:30 Mass for recognition.

ANNUAL SCOUTS PANCAKE BREAKFAST: Boy Scout Troop 59, Cub Scout Pack 59 and Venture Crew 1 are holding their Annual Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, March 18, 2007 from 7:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Parish Center. Donation is $4.00 with children 6 and under free. Please come for the all-you-can-eat pancakes and sausage, bake sale, fun, and good eating!

2nd Annual Theology of the Body Teacher Training
Open to educators, parents, and leaders interested in learning how to bring John Paul II’s revolutionary message to the youth. Come and learn how to bring the truth about human love and sexuality to your children or students.
Presented by the Chastity Education Initiative of the Archdiocese of Chicago Respect Life Office and featuring Fr. Thomas Loya, STB,MA, a local expert on JPII’s Theology of the Body.

RED CROSS BABYSITTING TRAINING OFFERED IN MARCH AND APRIL: The Brookfield Public Library will offer the Red Cross Babysitting Training course for young adults ages 11-15 from 1:00 to 5:00 Monday and Tuesday, March 26 and 27, and again on Monday and Tuesday, April 9 and 10. These dates coincide with Spring Break for most schools. Certified instructor Becky Huebler will teach the class, which will cover child care skills and business basics. Participants who finish the course will receive a Red Cross Babysitting Certificate, Handbook, and a Babysitting Bag. The $30 registration fee covers the cost of materials and equipment. Pizza will be served on Tuesday afternoon. Space is limited; please call the library at 485-6917 for more information.
WILD THINGS QUILTMAKERS: The Brookfield Public Library’s quilt group meets on the fourth Thursday of each month to work on quilts to donate to Project Linus. The group is open to quilters ages 10 and up; participants should have basic sewing skills. Refreshments are served.
