PRINCIPAL NOTES: Thank you, Thank you! Russ & Chris , Steff, and ALL of our volunteers who worked so hard to make Casino Nights a success again this year! Through your help, we can do our best to keep tuition costs down. Thanks on behalf of myself, the faculty and staff, and the KIDS!
Now that the colder weather is upon us, please dress your child appropriately for outdoor recess. Students are not allowed in the school building during recess.
Thanks to our FSA members for working and to all the school families who baked for our Election Day Bake Sale. Through your efforts our Bake Sale raised $743.50 for our school!
THANK YOU! A huge thanks to everyone that worked so hard to make this Casino Nights another SUCCESSFUL event. Our patrons really seemed to enjoy themselves, thanks to YOU! ~Russ & Chris & Steff

PICTURE PERSON NEWS: Just a reminder that we will be holding an informational meeting TONIGHT, Thursday, November 13th at 7 PM in the Faculty Lounge. Links for Technology Is it the 7th grade that has the most school spirit or is it the 2nd grade? As much as you want to debate the issue, now you have the opportunity to show it! The classrooms from grades Kindergarten through 8th grade will compete to create the largest chain or "link.' The links for technology are paper links that the students can purchase for $.50 each to support the pride of their grade. The contest will run from November 14th to the 25th, with the big reveal on the 25th!
The most important part of this contest is that it is a secret. Do not tell the other grades how many links your class has bought or how long your chain is! The class with the longest chain will receive a special prize. Do not forget to support your class!
THE ST. BARBARA SCHOOL RECRUITMENT COMMITTEE will meet Wednesday, November 19th in the Parish Center, Prairie Rooms at 7:30pm. This committee will be addressing the important issues of recruitment, student enrollment and getting St. Barbara School and its message out to the community. Everyone is welcome! []
BINGO SIGN-UP is now over. As per the tuition contract, each family is required to work one bingo. If you haven't signed up for a month, you have been assigned a month and time slot, either 5-7pm or 7-9pm. There are only enough spots for each family to work once, so......if you don't make it, you cannot reschedule. Please watch your child's backpack for a notice to work about 1 week before bingo. Questions? [Call school]. Thanks to everyone who has given more than one shift or worked more than one bingo! We have increased our attendance and our profit. We couldn't do it without all of you!
PICTURE RETAKES: A reminder that picture retakes will be next Thursday, November 20th. Any student that did not have his/her picture taken in September will need to have it taken at that time. If you wish to order pictures, your child will need to have their order form (available in the school office) and payment with them when their picture is taken in order for Lifetouch to print the package. Otherwise, your child's picture will be taken only for use in the classroom composite. If you wish to have retakes, your child must have their complete portrait package with them. Only those students having their picture taken will be allowed out-of-uniform in dress clothes on retake day. Any PS-4 students needing retakes should be in the Windemere Room by 8:30 am. []
