A giant THANK YOU and CONGRATULATIONS goes out to the students and Mrs. Turek for the enjoyable Christmas Pageant! The children looked beautiful and sounded like little angels. Our sincerest thanks also to Mr. Enns and to our band members who did a wonderful job! Everything came together perfectly!
The Terra Nova Tests will begin on March 2nd through March 13th for students in grades 2, 3, 5 and 7. Barring any illness, please do not schedule doctor appointments, trips, etc. during this time, as it is very important that the students are in school for testing.
Our Manna Express Program is well underway. If any parent wants a chance to sell certificates on the weekends and earn a percentage of what’s sold towards their own tuition, please call Cathy K[] to sign-up for a weekend.
Remember that there is no school on Monday, January 19th in honor of Martin Luther King Day.
EVER WONDER WHAT YOUR TEEN WAS THINKING? A Parent Workshop will be held on January 28, 2009 at Nazareth Academy. Join us for a presentation and open discussion with a student committee from Nazareth who will talk with parents about: Stress, Anger and Strategies for Handling Common Problems; Drugs and Alcohol; Fitting in, Self Esteem and Drama with Friends; and Parent-Child Relationships.
Registration will begin at 6:45 with two 45 minute workshop sessions. A student panel will present a question and answer session to conclude the evening. If you are interested, complete the enclosed registration form, or call/email Cathy Kokontis at 708-387-8535 / ckokontis@nazarethacademy.com.
TRANSPORTATION REIMBURSEMENT REMINDER: All applications for serious safety hazard must be returned to the Regional Office by February 1st.

"WE LOVE OUR STAFF" contest ends next Thursday, January 22nd. Use your Box Tops, Campbell's, Tyson & Milk Caps to vote at lunchtime for the "cutest staff picture". The collection bottles with the staff pictures are downstairs in the Windemere Room waiting for your votes.
KIDS DAY LUNCH: Please send your child's lunch order form in ASAP for the free lunch being provided by FSA on Thursday, January 29th. All of our preschoolers (accompanied by their parents) are encouraged to join us at the "big" school for the free lunch also! If you misplaced your order form, you can get another one through the school office.
