We Are Called to Serve

January 29, 2009

PRINCIPAL NOTES: Many thanks to Ms. Hewitt, and the students and parents of Grades 7 and 8 for the enlightening Invention Convention, the 5th graders for their Biomes, and the 6th graders for their owl pellet dissections that we enjoyed on Sunday and Monday. Our students did a FANTASTIC job on their displays and showed us all just how creative they are!

Thanks to all the families who came to show their support at our faculty & staff vs. 8th grade volleyball game. The enthusiasm and school spirit shown by all was very enjoyable.

The students, faculty and staff are looking forward to tomorrow when we have a chance to honor our volunteers at 8:00 Mass followed by a continental breakfast. We hope all our volunteers can attend. Please note, if we inadvertently omitted your name, please forgive us and please join us tomorrow morning.

Please see the enclosed flyers regarding our upcoming event Night at the Races and raffle. Each form is available on our school website www.stbarbaraschool.com

Coming home to all families under separate cover is our packet of teacher newsletters. Read about all the interesting and exciting things going on in our classrooms!

Many thanks to Mr. Dennis Tischler for arranging the deal we have with Alex & Aldo's restaurant where they donate 10% of their sales on our Family Mass day each month to St. Barbara School.

Parents, please be sure to put your child's name or initials on the tags of their uniform, coats, hats, etc. We have numerous articles of clothing in our lost and found which could be returned to the owner if only THE NAMES WERE ON THE TAGS.
