ST. BARBARA SCHOOL

THURSDAY TIDBIT

We Are Called to Serve
March 26, 2009

PRINCIPAL NOTES: If you have not already done so, please return the tuition contract for next school year. Tuition contracts are due in the school office by April 8th.

I want to thank the 8th graders for holding the Easter egg raffle next week to benefit the people of Fr. Mark’s village in Uganda. Fr. Mark was an Associate Priest here at St. Barbara's for a few years. He is presently the Pastor at Our Lady of Peace in Chicago, IL. We continue to remember him, his family, and the school children of Uganda in our prayers.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the Benefit Night at Buona. St. Barbara School received a check for $63.55 as our portion of the proceeds.

Have you sold any Derby Raffle tickets yet? It's not as difficult as you might think it is! We still have tickets available for purchase. Out-of-town friends and relatives can purchase a ticket from our school website using a credit card! What could be easier? Perhaps a group of friends would like to get together and purchase a ticket. You’ll never know if you don’t ask.

Parents, please do not use the alley next to the school or the faculty parking lot to drop off or pick up your children. We ask this for the safety of all the school children. Thank you for your cooperation.

WE ARE CALLED TO SERVE: These students have demonstrated their willingness to serve others through the weeks of March 2nd - March 13th: [see paper/email tidbit]

WE'RE GETTING READY FOR CASINO NIGHTS: If you know of any businesses that may be interested in sponsoring our event for a small donation, please forward to them the letter and flyer being sent home today under separate cover.   They are also available on our school website. If you need the form faxed or emailed (to you or them), please send the business info to Chris J at stbarbs_casinonights@yahoo.com.  Remember, the more sponsors we get, the bigger our bottom line. Thanks for helping to make this event a success!
