The last day our students will wear their school uniforms for this school year will be on Friday, May 29th. This will allow time for parents to clean the uniforms they wish to donate/sell in the uniform closet. The uniform closet is run by Mrs. Janka F. You can send your clean, used uniforms to Mrs. F through the school office by Tuesday, June 2nd. The sale date(s) will be announced in a future tidbit. Hopefully the closet will be open for business on Thursday, June 4th at dismissal and sometime during August. It's smart to shop early when you have the best inventory to choose from.
We will continue to collect oatmeal until Thursday, May 21st to benefit West Suburban Services, a branch of Catholic Charities.

YOUTH MINISTRY COMING TO ST. BARBS! The Religious Education Office has now formally taken steps to launch a Youth Ministry program right here in our parish. We would like to invite you to join our Youth Ministry team and begin our newest formation endeavor. Please join us for an informational and foundational meeting on Tuesday, May 19, 2009, at 7:30p, in the Windemere Room of the school. At this meeting, we will be joined by Tom Howard from the Office for Catechesis and Youth Ministry. He will facilitate the discussion by sharing how the team model is currently and successfully working in other Vicariate IV parishes, as well as identifying the particular spiritual needs of Brookfield teens. The hoped for result of our 1.5 hour gathering will be mutual clarity and volunteer readiness to dive into the training and begin charting a course for the establishment of youth ministry at your parish. Please consider being a part of this much needed ministry for our teens. If you would like to be involved, but are unable to make the meeting, please contact us.
PIZZA ORDER FORMS are due tomorrow, Friday, May 15th.
