ST. BARBARA SCHOOL

THURSDAY TIDBIT

Shining Stars for the Future
September 10, 2009

PRINCIPAL NOTES: Tomorrow morning, before we raise and pledge the flag, we will have a brief prayer service outside to remember the many lives that were lost on the morning of 9-11-01. The students may wear red, white & blue accessories with their uniform tomorrow.

Families who purchased a blue top for their 5th - 8th grade daughter(s) at Schoolbelles that is not banded at the bottom should exchange it at Schoolbelles for a banded one. There will be no charge to you and it doesn't matter if it has already been worn and washed.

Thanks for a successful Orientation Night last Wednesday. Anyone that wasn't able to attend should have received their folder of information. A special thank you goes out to the parents who manned the tables, ran the kitchen and gave a short, but informative talk! We, here at St. Barbara, are lucky to have such a wonderful group of volunteers! Thanks for all you do.

I want to give a BIG THANK YOU to Linda T and Jenny G for all of their time and effort spent on cleaning and reorganizing to perfection the kitchen in the Parish Center and the Windemere Room! Great job ladies!

It's not too late to see Cheryl O, one of our alumni, dancing on the Season Premiere of Oprah's 24th season! The show reruns tonight at 11:05.

Congratulations to Brenda S, another alumni, who through her academic excellence, earned the honor of being the Salutatorian at St. Joseph High School's graduation last May!

Stop by our Parish Center tomorrow and play BINGO! It should be a great time!

I'm pleased to announce that our school received $225.59 from Target. Thanks to all who participate in this program!
