Shining Stars for the Future
September 24, 2009
SAVE THE DATE! SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 6, 2010 This Saturday's Family Dinner has been canceled and rescheduled for Saturday, February 6, 2010. We would like to celebrate with all of our families our mutual support of Catholic schools. This date is the conclusion of Catholic Schools Week. Please plan on attending!
PRINCIPAL NOTES: The Family List was sent home today to those families who chose to be included in the list. Please keep it in a safe place and remember these numbers are confidential.
This year, students being recognized as "shining stars" will receive a certificate showing a date when they are allowed to be out-of-uniform. Students are selected every two weeks and names are published in the Thursday Tidbits.
Please join us on Monday, September 28th at 8:30 a.m. for the annual Police Blessing. We extend a warm invitation to all people who are in law enforcement to join us!
Thanks to FSA for all of the great, new playground equipment.
In the spirit of stewardship, we are looking for someone with the ability to repair some of our water fountains. Also, the refrigerator in our Faculty Room is "on the blink." If anyone has the knowledge to repair refrigerators and, in the spirit of stewardship, wouldn't mind taking a look at it, please give me a call. Please keep us in mind if anyone is getting rid of a refrigerator in good working condition.
Our school library opened for business this week! I want to thank Mary D (along with the parents who helped her move the furniture) for getting the donation of the books, shelves and table with chairs. Many thanks to Juan Gamboa and our school librarian, Jenny G, for reorganizing the books and fixing up the library. Our library looks even more professional now!
Oktoberfest will be here before you know it! Think about getting a table of friends together and joining us for a night of fun and entertainment. See flier on school website for more information.
A correction was issued from the North Riverside Library. Danny Z actually read for 101 hours this past summer! Good job Danny!
With so many forms coming through the office, the people creating them need to email them to Mrs. Carone and specify that they want them on the school website. Mrs. Carone will in turn forward them to Mrs. Skokna. If the form is not available electronically, please ask to have Mrs. Skokna scan the form and put it online.
NACHO/HOT DOG forms are due tomorrow, Friday, September 25th.
SHINING STARS FOR THE FUTURE: These students have set a good example to others by demonstrating good behavior and showing respect: [see paper/email tidbit] Out-of-uniform day for these "shining stars" is Friday, September 25th.
