THURSDAY TIDBIT

Shining Stars for the Future
November 5, 2009

PRINCIPAL NOTES: I encourage you to attend the 9:15 Family Mass this Sunday, November 8th.

Yesterday the primary grades attended 9:00 Mass. Grades 4th through 8th will attend 9:00 Mass next Wednesday. Enclosed is a list (subject to change) of all the planned school Masses. I invite all parents to join us.

To help in the scheduling of conferences, the Parent Teacher Conference sheets were due back today. If you have not already done so, please return the bottom portion TOMORROW. You will be notified of your exact appointment time. If you do not return your slip, a time will be assigned to you by your child’s teacher.

FSA really outdid themselves this time! Despite the rain, our Trunk & Treat turned out great. I was so happy to see so many families participating. Kudos to the parents who, within 15 minutes, transformed the Windemere Room into a ghoulish setting. Our ghosts and goblins really enjoyed themselves.

I hope to see you at Casino Nights this weekend. It's always an enjoyable weekend with lots of action and excitement!

If you are able to make a contribution toward the repairs in our Parish Center, please return the blue envelope you found in the pews in church. It would be nice if our school parents could support this project as we use the Parish Center building for so many activities, i.e. gym, music, sports, etc.

I'm happy to inform you that our school received a check for $14.38 from Buona Beef thanks to the families who ordered from Buona Beef during our last fundraiser.

WAY TO GO! On October 29th, [five students] represented St. Barbara School at the Nazareth Academy Scholastic Bowl. These students successfully made it to the third round of the competition. Congratulations! We are so proud of you!
