Shining Stars for the Future
November 19, 2009
PRINCIPAL NOTES: Because we only have school on Monday and a half-day on Tuesday of next week, we will not be having a tidbit. Watch your child's folder for any information that may come home under separate cover.
Please join our school children on Tuesday, November 24th at the Thanksgiving Mass at 9:00 AM. in the church.
Mark your calendars for the 9:00 Mass on Wednesday, December 2nd, with our primary grades. Hope to see you there!
I hope you will join me in thanking Mr. Fred D, father of one of our first graders, for offering to help St. Barbara School by fixing the plumbing in the Parish Center kitchen, the boy' 2nd floor bathroom and water fountains in the school building. What a wonderful example of stewardship!
On that same note of stewardship, I have a request of our school parents. Please take a look at the form coming home in today's tidbit called Volunteering. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. For anyone owning a van, SUV or truck, we could occasionally use your help transporting the chairs from the Windemere Room over to the Parish Center and back again when the need arises.
Please read the article coming home under separate cover regarding a pajama program. What a wonderful way to make someone happy this holiday season! Also, please mark your calendar for your child to bring his/her teddy bear to school on Wednesday, December 2nd.
Thank you to the Tischler family for the wonderful Occasions Magazine coming home today to each family. It's just in time for the holidays and everything looks so yummy!
Now that the colder weather is upon us, please dress your child appropriately for outdoor recess. Students are not allowed in the school building during recess.
