PRINCIPAL NOTES: A special welcome to all our returning students, our new students and all of our school families. Please read under separate cover our Orientation Night schedule for Thursday, September 6th.
The popular Family Mass resumes at 9:15 a.m. Sunday, September 9th. All families are encouraged to come and sing, praise and pray as one parish family. We also are looking for families to help us at the Mass.
The school children will NOT be attending Mass tomorrow morning. School will begin at the regular 8:30 start time.
All new families should read, complete and return the Website Permission form going home today.
FSA PRESENTS Adult Trivia Night to be held on Saturday, October 13th. Mark your calendars! Details will follow in next week's tidbit. Please see the flyer in today's tidbit for the Junior High Trivia Night!
MANNA CERTIFICATE PROGRAM: Do you want an EASY way to earn money to help lower your tuition? Then the Manna Certificate Program is for you! It costs you nothing to participate, but by using this program to purchase your groceries , gas, home improvement needs, prescriptions, fast food, etc., you can earn hundreds of "free" dollars to be applied towards your commitment obligation or tuition credit! You spend this money anyway, so why not get something extra out of it? Plus, this program is the only option available all year for families to earn a credit. Coming home today under separate cover is all the information you need on the program. Once you start using it, you'll see how convenient it is and you'll be surprised how fast your credit will grow! Weekly orders will begin on Tuesday, September 11th (no school on September 10th). Any questions you may have can be discussed at our Parent Orientation Night next Thursday, September 6th.
BAND NEWS: Concert Band's first rehearsal is Tuesday, September 4th at 7:30 a.m. All students 5th – 8th who have played one year or more are welcome. Beginning students in grades 4th – 8th will be tested and given a chance to try different band instruments throughout September. Beginning band will start in October. HOT LUNCH NEWS: October menus are included in today's tidbit and order forms have been sent home with each child. Please remember to select a milk choice or white milk will be ordered. All orders and payment are due in the office by Wednesday, September 19th. A mass e-mail will be sent with this information today. If you signed up for the e-mailing system and did not receive the notification, please give the office a call.
FREE & REDUCED LUNCH APPLICATIONS: Any applications for the new school year are due in the office by September 4th. Please note that you may request an application at any time during the school year if your income level should change.
HOME RUN INN PIZZA DAY: September 14th will be our first Home Run Inn day for the new school year. Order forms have been sent home with each student today along with one via e-mail for those families who have signed up for the blast e-mailing system. All forms, along with payment, are due in the office by Tuesday, September 11th. IMPORTANT: We no longer have the availability of a soda machine in the school hall. ALL STUDENTS MUST BRING HIS OR HER OWN DRINK FROM HOME on pizza days. Please note that hot lunch and milk are not available on fun lunch days. As a reminder, students should either order Home Run Inn pizza or bring a lunch from home. No one should be bringing "fast food" lunches to school.
YEARBOOK VOLUNTEER SIGN UP: Please see the notice regarding volunteer sign-up for the 2007-2008 yearbook. If you are interested in working on the yearbook, please fill out the bottom portion of the flyer and return it thru the school office by Friday, September 14th.
FAMILY SCHOOL: The Family School Association is looking for someone to help share the duties of Publicity.

MARKET DAY NEWS: Welcome back to school and Welcome to Market Day! Please see enclosed order form and list of this school year's pick up dates. Our next pick up is September 22nd in the Parish Center. Pre-school and 5th grade families are the scheduled helpers for the month. Placing orders is EASY! Turn in your order form via the school office, or drop it off in the Market Day mailbox in front of the rectory. Cut off for submitting orders is Wednesday, September 19th.
BOX TOPS / LABELS NEWS: Have you filled up your pail this summer with Box Tops, Campbell's, Tyson Labels & Milk Caps? Summer is over and it's time to empty those pails. For every 10 items (any combination of Box Tops, Campbell UPC codes & lids, Tyson Labels and any Milk Caps from Kemp's, Kid$ Cap$ for Ca$h and/or Swiss Valley Farms) your family earns one entry into the Summer Raffle to win a $25 Gift Certificate from Market Day. Make sure to put your family name on the sheet or Ziploc bag to be eligible for the raffle. All items are due next Friday, Sept. 7th or bring them to Parent Orientation.
